What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Assistant - Full Time position at Regina Health Center?
Regina Health Center is a mission-based skilled nursing and assisted living facility of excellence located on 230 beautiful acres in Richfield, Ohio. We are currently seeking a full-time Activities Assistant to work 5 days per week from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, including one weekend per month and rotating holidays.
The Activities Assistant reports directly to the Director of Activities and supports activity programs for skilled nursing, dementia, and assisted living residents. The Activities Assistant will assist in conducting individual and group activities to provide meaningful engagement to our residents! Must be computer proficient and have the ability to learn new computer programs. Creativity is a must!
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for providing care and support to elderly individuals.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and aging issues is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with residents.
- Experience in event planning or organizing group activities is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various activity times.
Education Requirements:
HS Diploma or GED, activities experience in long-term care preferred, as well as experience working with those living with dementia.
