What are the responsibilities and job description for the MDS Nurse position at Regina Health Center?
REGINA HEALTH CENTER is a mission-based skilled nursing facility of excellence! Regina Health Center is located on 230 beautiful acres in Richfield, Ohio and we are currently seeking an experienced MDS Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our outstanding team!
The MDS Nurse works directly with the MDS Coordinator and the Director of Nursing to provide accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments. The MDS Nurse provides Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care oversight to ensure that the appropriate clinical services are provided to each resident and ultimately, the appropriate reimbursement is received for each resident. The MDS Nurse is responsible to ensure that Regina Health Center obtains and maintains quality outcomes and continually remains in compliance with federal and state regulations. Schedule expectation is 1st shift, 3-5 days per week.

Responsibilities:
- Must have experience as an MDS nurse and working knowledge of the PPS, PDPM and CMI.
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Responsible for conducting resident assessments.
- Collect all information necessary to complete minimum data set forms.
- Monitor and audit the clinical records to ensure optimization of reimbursement.
- Timely completion of the MDS.
- Participates in Resident Plan of Care Meetings.
