Janitor/Maintenance

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to custodial tasks, including both commercial and industrial cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure high-quality surface maintenance.
• Carry out custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management, addressing issues as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all cleaning duties.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or maintenance roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Skills in residential painting or basic repair work are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and industrial cleaning methods is beneficial.
