Rule Independent School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Second Grade Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. This is a self-contained classroom position where the teacher will be responsible for teaching all core subjects (Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Studies) to a single group of second-grade students. Our amazing veteran teacher is moving just across the hall and we will have many people in the building to help you.

Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
- Establish a positive, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
- Incorporate technology and hands-on learning into daily instruction.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Texas Teacher Certification in Early Childhood-6th Grade (EC-6) or Elementary Education (Self-Contained).
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience teaching at the elementary level.
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and best teaching practices.
- Experience integrating technology into the classroom.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular or community activities.
- ESL qualified
- Reading academy graduate
- Four day week.
