What you’ll do!
Coordinate the development, implementation, promotion, and facilitation of the Suicide Prevention training and activities across the Behavioral Health and Crisis Response systems in the Region 3 service area. The individual will work collaboratively with community agencies, coalitions, behavioral health agencies, primary healthcare, schools, religious organizations, veteran organizations, and justice systems to promote suicide prevention education, training, information, and resources to ensure a timely crisis intervention continuum of resources, supports, and connections for our diversified populations across the Region 3 service area.
What you’ll need!
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services related field.
- Three years’ experience in human services with an emphasis on development and facilitation of training, interagency collaboration and coordination, and direct service provision.
- Passion to help others.
- Strong facilitation skills to effectively communicate and teach suicide prevention to groups of individuals across all age groups.
- Ability to identify and train local community members to become trainers and advocates to promote suicide prevention in their own schools and communities.
- Foster effective professional contacts with service providers, community representatives, advocacy groups, and representatives of judicial, education, and social services.
- Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills that will effectively promote training, resources, and knowledge of suicide prevention.
- Satisfactory background check is required.
