Job Summary: The Texas Mentorship Fellow will deliver high-quality training and job-embedded support to district and EPP staff supporting pre-service and beginning teachers through mentorship. The program’s primary goals are to increase beginning teacher effectiveness and retention. The lead implementation of the Texas Education Agency’s Texas Mentorship Training (TMT) for their Educational Service Centers (ESC). This role includes attending all TMT training, providing feedback on the design and delivery of the TMT content, redelivering the training while receiving coaching support, and marketing the TMT to districts and Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs).
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
Bachelor Degree or required license
Prefer Master Degree in related field
Experience:
At least three years of related experience.
Campus/District/Region leadership experience.
Preferred Background or Experience in the following areas:
Mentorship roles or leading mentorship programs on a campus or district;
Working with pre and early-service teachers;
Texas Instructional Leadership (TIL);
High Quality Instructional Materials & Research-Based Instructional Strategies
(HQIM);
Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS);
Product Academies or Strong Foundations Implementation or Planning; and Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs).

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Participate in The Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) orientation and all Texas Mentorship Training (TMT) trainings, and any other training required.
2. Create an ESC TMT business model for the TMT to operationalize LEA support and maintain sustainability.
3. Build relationships with LEAs and EPPs to invest them in the TMT vision, recruit them to the right TMT pathways, and assist them through coaching and implementation support.
4. Redeliver TMT through a Trainer of Trainers (ToT) model and receive coaching from the contractor and TEA on delivery.
5. Market the TMT to districts and Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs).
6. Travel for this position will be required to attend all required training, mentoring, and coaching to LEAs and EPPS.
7. Collaborate with all IMPACT ETX program staff.
8. Work collaboratively with ESC staff in serving the customers of Region7 ESC.
9. Attend and participate in all ESC-required training.
10. Demonstrate professional behavior in all interactions with ESC staff and customers.
11. Adhere to ESC policies and procedures in the Region 7 ESC quality management system.
12. Work and collaborate with others as needed to ensure the implementation and success of state and local initiatives.

Salary : $77,933 - $108,683
