What are the responsibilities and job description for the Texas Instructional Leadership Coordinator position at Region 7 ESC?
Job Summary: Assist LEAs in identifying high leverage continuous improvement practices aligned to the Effective Schools Framework and key data indicators withing state and federal accountability. Guide campus leaders through Effective Schools Framework diagnostic process and support them in selection of aligned leadership capacity builders within Texas Instructional Leadership. Provide fact to face leader training, implementation support and leader coaching in alignment to Texas Instructional Leadership protocols.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education/Training:
Post Graduate Degree; major coursework in administration or related field is generally preferred.
Master’s Degree in related field, Mid-Management
Experience:
10 years of educational experience in a professional capacity
Prefer central office or campus-level administrative experience.

Primary Essential Functions:
- Plan and implement services to schools in support of improvement and compliance with accountability intervention requirements (A-F, ESSA School Support, Results Driven Accountability).
- Work collaboratively with ESC 7 center directors and their staff in planning and implementing services to schools in support of improvement and compliance with accountability intervention requirements (A-F, ESSA School Support, Results Driven Accountability).
- Partner with the Center for Effective Schools (CES), TEA, other ESCs, and state and national agencies, as appropriate, to support the provision of services to schools.
- Routinely update departmental listservs, webpages, and other ESC communication/marketing tools to ensure effective communication with customers.
- Provide support for the ESC 7 Accountability Turnaround Team, SWAT, and the Annual Improvement Plan (Plan4Learning).
- Support the accomplishment of the TEA strategic priority for improvement of low performing schools.
- Collaborate with and support director and other coordinators of the Leadership Development team to ensure quality services focused on leadership capacity building.
- Provide technical assistance and professional development regarding campus leadership development.
- Incorporate best practices in instructional leadership skill building in the effective implementation of instructional leadership professional development and technical assistance (Texas Instructional Leadership and Effective Schools Framework).
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Daily monitoring of Administrative and Department procedures to ensure they reflect actual practice and assist employees in making needed changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Funding
All Region 7 employees are at-will employees. Because your assignment is funded by grants, federal funding, and/or special funding, your continued employment is expressly conditioned on the availability of funding for the position. If funding becomes unavailable due to loss of state/federal funding or due to financial constraints of Region 7 ESC, your position is subject to immediate termination.
Salary : $88,988 - $119,738
