Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Keep track of inventory and place orders for materials and supplies as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure patient safety.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Utilize 3D scanning technology for dental impressions when necessary.
- Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing care tailored to younger patients.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical records management and medical documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care.
- Experience with vital signs monitoring and medical imaging processes.
- Strong understanding of infection control standards in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is a plus.
