Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with clients to assist them in daily activities, promote independence, and foster a positive living environment. Your commitment to patient care and adherence to HIPAA regulations will be crucial in maintaining the dignity and privacy of those you serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' social interactions.
- Monitor clients' health and behavior, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Engage clients in recreational activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care.
