What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Counselor position at Region Ten Community Services Board?
As a School Based Mental Health Clinician, you will be employed by Region Ten CSB but working in Louisa County Public schools helping children with mental health and emotional issues. You will work closely with teachers, administrators, and school counselors to identify students in needs and then assist those children. There is an option for a 11-month contract which more closely follows the LCPS calendar or a 12-month contract which follows the Region Ten calendar.
This position requires a master’s degree in counseling, social work or a degree leading toward state licensure. The clinician II position is for those who are licensed eligible, and the clinician III is for someone who is licensed. This is a Full-Time position with benefits that include health insurance, retirement (Virginia Retirement System), and holiday, annual, and sick leave.
