CLASSIFICATION TITLE: Direct Support Professional, Region I REACH CTH - Charlottesville (FULL TIME)
General Statement Of Responsibilities
The incumbent serves as a Region 1 Regional Education Assessment Crisis Services Habilitation (REACH) DSP for adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs in addition to those presenting with challenging behaviors (DD/BH) residing in Developmental Services Region I of Virginia which covers the nine Community Services Boards (CSBs) within Region 1. This position is the REACH Crisis Therapeutic Home (RCTH) direct care professional. This position participates in facilitating daily programs and individualized activities and support for habilitative and/or rehabilitative activities, therapeutic interventions, personal care/assistance, health care and other activities. DSPs participates as part of comprehensive REACH services that collaborate with individual’s primary provider and clinical home, community crisis services, family and others.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required and one year of full-time relevant experience. Valid Virginia Driver's License plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles is required.
