CLASSIFICATION TITLE: Housing Specialist, Regional (FULL TIME)
General Statement Of Responsibilities
This is a FLSA Non-Exempt position. The Regional Housing Specialist performs professional services in the form of guidance and subject matter expertise on available and appropriate residential services, supports, and housing resources for consumers being serviced by the public mental health system in Region 1. The Incumbent responds to the needs of the Community Services Board (CSB) hospital liaisons and other regional program staff around housing resources, provider information, and rate negotiations. They communicate frequently with residential providers in Region 1 and throughout the state. The Incumbent identifies gaps in housing resources and opportunities to build community capacity. Their work is performed under the supervision of the Region 1 Regional Initiatives Projects Manager.
Qualifications
A preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with course work in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Health Services or a related field; moderate experience working with individuals with behavioral health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities in a behavioral health setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years' experience in housing counseling and/or property management. Work with individuals discharged from state psychiatric facilities preferred.
