What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESIDENT MANAGER position at Region Vi Community Mental Health Commission?
Job Responsibilities: Provide supervision and assistance to residents of Group Homes and perform other related duties as assigned
Job Duties:
- Report to work on time and sign in at designated area.
- Monitor medication compliance and consult with appropriate staff as needed.
- Notify supervisor via cell phone in case of emergencies.
- Verbally prompt and assist members as needed to complete daily cleaning duties, personal hygiene, laundry, etc.
- Complete authorization for leave forms for members on pass with relatives.
- Observe members daily for any problems, (i.e. aggression, auditory of visual hallucinations, etc.)
- Remain awake and alert and account for individuals throughout work shift.
- Assist with planning, cooking and serving of meals.
- Complete weekly physical facilities checklist and monthly fire drills.
- Work in place of other resident managers in case of absence.
- Maintain documentation that is adequate, appropriate, complete and timely.
- Monitor the residence for cleanliness and safety at all times.
- Monitor and report need for supplies of residence (cleaning products, food items, housewares, etc.)
- Treat individuals receiving services, family members, staff, volunteers, visitors, government agencies, and the general public with respect, dignity, and courtesy at all times. Conduct yourself in a manner which leaves a favorable impression with the public.
- Adhere to all Department of Mental Health Standards, Division of Medicaid Standards, and maintain respect for all other Life Help policies, procedures, and management decisions.
- Respect and uphold the confidentiality of individuals receiving services, their family members, colleagues, and any sensitive situations arising within the agency. Refrain from malicious gossip at all times.
- Participate in all training required for your specific position and by the agency at large.
- Perform other specific duties as assigned by your supervisor/manager/coordinator.
- Must possess leadership ability, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.

- A minimum of a high school diploma
- Valid Mississippi Drivers License
