What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wine Tasting Room Bartender position at REGION.?
This position is responsible for assisting with the operational needs of the tasting room during our peak busy hours, while ensuring proper execution of closing tasks in preparation for the following shift. Get a chance to be a key supporting role assisting our Wine Guides, learning about the local Sonoma County wine industry and our 37 Winery Partners while providing the best customer service and ambitious work ethic.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
- Close the tasting room and execute cleanliness and preparation tasks for the following shift
- Uphold our defined standards of cleanliness, organization and efficiency
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and adherence to all safety regulations, quality standards and operating procedures
- Lead with superior customer service skills and a service-driven mindset
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and fun atmosphere for guests
- Interact with guests, vendors and team members with a friendly, positive and professional disposition
- Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines
- Serve in the execution and completion of promotional events
- Display excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Capacity to multi-task and exercise discretion when prioritizing tasks
- Propensity to thrive in fast-paced environment under pressure, while exhibiting a sense of urgency
- Strong attention to detail and high standard of excellence
- Pro-active and thorough in completing existing tasks, following through and pursuing new assignments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of two years of prior relevant experience in a managerial role
- Enthusiasm for wine and interest in expanding expertise
- Availability to work weekends, special events and holidays
- Proficiency with company computer systems, software and reports to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
- Competency with POS system and general internet navigation
- Valid driver’s license
- Must have or be able to obtain TIPS license
- Must have or be able to obtain CPR/FA Certificate
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in retail/business management or hospitality, or equivalent experience strongly preferred
- Adobe Suite experience
- Tasting room retail, direct to consumer sales, restaurant or hospitality industry experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 40 pounds at varying frequencies
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
COMPENSATION:
- $18-$20 per hour depending on prior experience
