What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air Medical Communications Specialist position at Regional Ambulance?
The Air Medical Communications Specialist position is responsible for the coordination of all air medical resources that REMSA Health operates or contracts with. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving calls from requestors, prioritizing simultaneous requests, dispatching of the appropriate aviation asset, maintaining contact with requestors, and maintaining appropriate records for every flight request.
Qualifications / Experience :
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills required2 years of prior customer service experience preferredAbility to multi-task in a highly computerized environment requiredAbility to follow detailed and structured process, while providing a high level of customer service requiredAbility to type 35wpm requiredMedical terminology knowledge preferredPrior or current EMT certification desirable, but not requiredPrior air medical dispatch experience a plusAbility to work as a team
