Job Summary:
The Accessibility and TRAID Services Supervisor manages the Accessibility and TRAID program, providing direct supervision to all team members, serving as the lead staff for the TRAID program, recruiting and coordinating the TRAID Volunteers, overseeing the development of the adaptive design program, and ensuring that all team deliverables are met. The Accessibility and TRAID Services Supervisor leads workers in a hands-on way and is responsible for motivating employees, managing their performance, providing them with guidance or feedback, and resolving conflicts. The Accessibility and TRAID Services Supervisor is the direct point of contact between management and their direct reports. In addition to the managerial role, the Accessibility and TRAID Services Supervisor provides direct services and technical assistance, ensures regulations are followed, and provides employees with training and development opportunities.
Job Duties:
- Hire, train, supervise and manage the Accessibility and TRAID Services staff based in Rochester.
- Provide and document one-on-one supervision with all direct reports, at least on a biweekly basis and more frequently if needed.
- Review case notes and other documentation regularly (weekly) to ensure that staff provide high quality services and effectively document those services, providing feedback as needed.
- Produce and review weekly reports for documenting, monitoring and assessing staff productivity.
- Provide direct consumer services, including equipment demonstrations and loans which may include delivering and picking up equipment.
- Maintain a database of all devices and equipment in the Loan Closet and maintain documentation on loans, returns, and donations.
- Secure equipment and assistive technology donations.
- Engage in activities to market and increase community awareness of these services.
- Ensuring completion of project and contract deliverables.
- Coaching and training staff to improve performance as necessary.
- providing direct support to line staff by problem-solving consumer issues and advocacy concerns.
- Engage in and document community outreach activities.
- Provide and document technical assistance to the community.
- Report any issues and challenges to the Director.
- Providing information for reports as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Five years of experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of applicable education and experience. Personal and lived experience with disability preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Strong personal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Must be able to drive a lift-equipped van to deliver and pick up equipment. Must be able to lift items and be able to assemble. Prolong periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Local travel, including driving a lift-equipped van, is required. Some out-of-town travel may be required to participate in work-related meetings, conferences or trainings.
