POSITION SUMMARY
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring partner compliance and providing training and educational materials to support their success. This role reports to the Community Impact Director and manages 50% of the yearly compliance for CSFP and TEFAP while also overseeing ETFB’s learning management system.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Agency Services and Partnership Management
- Ensure compliance with ETFB, Feeding America, and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) requirements, staying updated on program changes and serving as the primary TDA contact for audits.
- Conduct yearly partner audits, annual updates of MOUs, and other agreements.
- Monitor community partners for compliance, assisting the Community Impact Director in enforcing standards.
- Ensure partner agencies meet annual requirements and provide ongoing training and support.
- Educate partner staff and volunteers on client civil rights requirements.
- Perform periodic risk assessments of critical community distribution sites.
- Collaborate with the Retail Partners team to maintain compliance and foster program growth.
- Provide recommendations to the Community Impact Director and Chief Impact Officer regarding community partners.
- Manage ETFB’s learning management system, including user setup, training oversight, and expanding available training materials in coordination with subject matter experts.
- Identify and escalate safety or compliance concerns to leadership.
- Maintain expertise in Feeding America and USDA regulations.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on compliance and external training.
- Develop and update internal SOPs for the Impact Partner team.
- Work with Operations to ensure seamless policy implementation and auditing.
System Management
- Oversee the initial setup of agencies in the learning management system.
- Conduct periodic spot checks in Oasis, CERES, and Salesforce to ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Maintain regular communication with partners and document interactions in Salesforce.
- Audit Oasis data input regularly to verify accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years progressive work experience in a compliance focused roll.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
- Valid Driver’s License

- Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills, bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Technologically proficient. Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office programs
(Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn new software Systems. Specific knowledge of client databases, inventory software, and Tableau a plus.
