What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority?
Performs routing and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on BCEMS buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Performs minor tasks and reports the need for major repairs to all buildings and equipment. (Major repairs are performed under a general contractor.)
- Performs preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc; repairs or replaces broken parts.
- Replaces broken windows, repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blinks if needed.
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- May operate a computer that controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Assists with renovating/remodeling a building; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
- Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Performs custodial duties weekly as assigned.
- May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts, and order parts as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
