Duties:
REGIONAL federal credit union a growing and leading provider of banking products and services in Northwest Indiana is seeking an experienced Commercial Loan Underwriter to join our growing team. Responsibilities include:
- Process, analyze, decision and present commercial loans of varying dollar amounts and complexity
- Meet and support the organizational and lending sales and service goals
- Maintain superior levels of member service, while managing member and team expectations
- Possess effective communication and organizational skills
- Desire to excel in a team environment
- Communicate with members regarding lending questions, delinquency, and decisions, including alternative lending options
- Complete annual loan reviews and risk-monitoring duties

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of commercial lending (investment property, retail and industrial) experience
- Proven loan underwriting skills
- Ability to prepare detailed credit presentations
- Ability to work with commercial lending software
- Possess a strong understanding of lending rules, regulations, and policies
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel programs
- Experience with SBA loans preferred
