What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Specialist position at Regional Food Bank?
Qualifications: Associate's degree in accounting, or 1 year of related experience. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent follow-through.
Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical office setting but may be exposed to extreme temperatures in a warehouse setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus. Lifting should not normally exceed 30 pounds.
Position Summary: Responsible for assisting in all areas of the Finance department with a primary focus on accounts receivable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable.
- Prepare and manipulate spreadsheets in Excel for upload into accounting systems.
- Manage donations made through online/electronic applications
- Responsible for preparing donation receipts for upload
- Grant vouchering by scanning documents and data entry
- Enter grant adjustments into the Food Bank’s software.
- Month end closing and balancing accounts receivable if needed
- Organizes and maintains department files including year-end transfer and set up.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Keeps privileged/confidential information in strict confidence.
This job is eligible for a hybrid work option after a probationary period.
