Location : Clay, KY

Schedule : Monday – Friday, Day Shift (40 hours per week)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Tech and Patient Care Coordinator to join our team! This full-time position offers the opportunity to work closely with providers, performing essential imaging and duties to support patient care.   • Summary of Duties

    As a Radiologic Tech and Patient Care Coordinator, you will assist in the examination and treatment of patients by performing imaging and nursing tasks while ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation. Your role is vital to delivering effective and efficient healthcare services.

    Essential Responsibilities

  • Radiology Services :
  • Follow radiation safety policies and provide radiation protection in accordance with RHCA guidelines.

  • Operate and maintain radiation-producing equipment to perform imaging services.
  • Ensure images are of acceptable quality for interpretation by physicians and radiologists.
  • Patient Care :
  • Interview patients and record vital signs (e.g., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).

  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist providers during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Administer medications as directed and document administration in the EMR.
  • Lab and Clinical Support :
  • Collect lab specimens (e.g., urine, sputum) and ensure they meet lab standards.

  • Clean, sterilize, and restock instruments and exam rooms.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of medical history, family history, and medication records in the EMR.
  • Operational Responsibilities :
  • Inventory and order medical supplies and materials.

  • Track referrals per RHCA policies and report issues to the clinic manager and quality coordinator.
  • Coordinate with providers to ensure all organizational quality standards are consistently met.
  • Compliance and Development :
  • Maintain Basic Life Support and CPR certification according to Red Cross or American Heart Association guidelines.

  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical and professional skills.
  • Act in compliance with contracts, laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Additional Duties :
  • Assist with equipment assembly, such as catheters and oxygen supplies.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the clinician supervisor.

    Requirements :

    EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or GED, Medical Assistant Training (certification preferred) and Registered Radiologic Technologist certificate or Limited X-Ray license required. Must have the ability to follow verbal and written directions and have good physical and mental health. Must have manual dexterity to handle instructions, current knowledge of departmental procedures and be able to maintain a friendly work environment. Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to submit a background check and oral drug screen.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Require both mental and physical flexibility to meet the dynamic demands of the healthcare environment. Requires decision-making capacity within the parameters of the organization’s policies / procedures and current standards of care. Potential exists for exposure to hazardous risks such as : infectious disease, hazardous substances and musculoskeletal injuries. Moderate amounts of walking, standing, lifting of patients, equipment and supplies.

    ADA REQUIREMENTS : Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, customer service, reading, speaking, writing and understanding English, and problem analysis. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations / teaching. Frequent decision making and independent judgment or action. Frequent keyboarding, sitting, standing, hearing and talking.
