The Business Manager of Surgical Services will be responsible for implementing necessary change to support the organizations purpose, vision, values and strategic priorities to ensure the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Surgical Services operations to meet the needs of our patients and communities, while fostering the engagement of physicians and caregivers. Plans, develops, organizes, directs, and controls the business and fiscal operations of Surgical Services. Ensures employees are properly trained and have the necessary equipment and supplies to perform the requirements of their job.Plans for, manages and analyzes financial outcomes within budgetary projections and appropriately manages variable to assure cost-effective operations. Demonstrates effective fiscal management.Evaluates and implements improvements to Surgical Services operations through the Surgical Services leadership at each location, ensuring a high level of productivity, quality, safety, exceptional patient service, physician and caregiver engagement, while maintaining a strong commitment to financial and community stewardship.Utilizes data to continually monitor and maintain the progress and outcomes of Surgical Services operational efficiency initiatives; recommends and executes appropriate changes to achieve optimal results.Established and maintains effective communication and working relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, caregivers, and leadershipPerform human resources responsibilities including interview and selection of new caregivers, orientation and onboarding, coaching and mentoring, performing performance evaluations, pay adjustments, resolution of caregiver concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and continually improving caregiver and physician engagement and retention.Maintains strictest confidentiality.Other duties as assigned by Surgical Services Director.Additional RequirementsRequired:Education - Bachelors in Related FieldWork Experience - 3 years Leadership ExperiencePhysical RequirementsSedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
