This position participates as a member of the Leadership Team in planning, policy formulation, and administrative decision making to assure quality services. The Lab Manager assumes administrative and clinical responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Laboratory Department, and recommends and implements changes that would improve delivery of services.
Assumes administrative responsibility for the functions of the Laboratory Department
Works closely with Laboratory Medical Director to assure laboratory policies / procedures and testing remain in compliance
Assist lab in maintaining compliance with CLIA regulations and guidelines
Responsible for the operation, facilitation, and maintenance of the Laboratory Information System
Oversees / assists supply ordering
Oversees / assists patient billing
Responsible for implementation of new laboratory policies and procedures
Comply with local and national Medical Review Policies
Associate Degree Required, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Registered Medical Lab Technologist, Medical Technologist
Two years or more experience in a hospital setting
Management experience strongly preferred
Current certification with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists
Certified in BLS
Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter certification
