What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Overnight Facility Shifts position at Regional Medical Center?
Job Summary
Candidates will work in a Cardio Thoracic ICU environment caring for patients with various conditions, including post-operative CABG, acute coronary syndromes, and cardiac surgery. The ideal candidate will have strong neuro experience, as well as proficiency in managing arterial lines, blood products, central lines, and titrating cardiac drips.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex patient care plans, including those with multi-system organ failure, CABG, and intra-aortic balloon pump therapy
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, as well as care for ventilated patients and those on BiPAP or CPAP
- Assist with infection prevention and isolation precautions, as well as surgical wound care
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a CVICU/CTICU environment, with travel experience preferred
- EPIC proficiency is required, with no exceptions
- Ability to work 48-hour contracts with overtime available
Unit Information
The unit has 8 beds and utilizes a universal bed model, allowing for seamless transitions from ICU to step-down care. Ratios are 1:1-2, depending on the shift.
