Overview

The Role

 

As the plumbing install manager, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to maximize capacity, efficiency and profitability for the drains, sewer sales and excavation teams. You will manage staff and exceed customer expectations by accomplishing the highest quality installation jobs, every time.

 

Reports To

 

Plumbing General Manager

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage, direct, coordinate, and control drain technicians, camera technicians, and installation teams.
  • Implements general policies for the department that streamline performance and day-to-day operations.
  • Train department personnel and ensure that all meet or exceed performance guidelines and compliance of all company policies and procedures.
  • Keep in constant contact with the install coordinator regarding any updates on jobs so that they can contact the customer.
  • Make sure all materials are in the shop or set up prior to or at the end of the day of installation and/or delivered on site for each job.
  • Responsible for OSHA documentation and safety meetings. Also responsible for making sure all tailgate meetings are being done as per OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain and update information on install tracking board.
  • Responsible for any adjustments on install invoices.
  • Continue to carry out the owner’s vision of the company culture specifically focusing on teamwork, honest and open communication with team members, ethics, and integrity.
  • Ensure that all work performed meets or exceeds OSHA regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • 3 years Management/Supervisory experience required (Home Services, Sales Manager, Construction Management, or Military Leadership experience) 
  • 3 years’ experience managing revenue, budgeting and/or P&L required
  • Leader in current field of work
  • Skilled Trades and/or Residential Services experience a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, risk analysis and develop solutions

 

Salary & Benefits:

  • General Managers typically earn $80,000 - $100,000 in their first year, with financial upside as the business grows
  • Base Salary Commissions

Responsibilities

Financial: 

  • Development and execution of strategy producing revenue 
  • Impacts and increases key metrics including conversion percentage, average invoice, PM plans 

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Implement systems, training and accountability to be “gold standard” with service and quality
  • Impact and improve key metrics including NPS, reduction of callbacks. etc

Employee Development:

  • Create culture and systems to teach, train and develop an industry leading staff
  • Increase and impact employee retention at all levels and eNPS
  • Impact and advise succession planning and career progression development programs
  • Continuously seek and apply feedback to build a world class employment product

Leadership 

  • Builds deep relationships with all level of employees, cross-departmentally
  • Becomes a positive, respected presence in the local community 

 

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
