SUMMARY
This position is responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, organizational effectiveness, and long-term growth. This role involves working closely with leadership, department heads, and staff to develop, implement, and monitor strategic plans, as well as overseeing operational processes to enhance productivity and service delivery.
This position will also possess thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements regarding programs and services of the Regional Office of Education. This role will also require knowledge of district policy, ethical guidelines, principles of supervision, organization, and administration. The role will oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and provide operational leadership to the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & CRITICAL SKILLS
- 10 years of experience in leadership at the executive level through strategic planning, operations management, or a related leadership role as demonstrated through the following:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives effectively.
- Strong understanding of organizational operations, policies, and procedures.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Display proficiency in project management and performance measurement tools.
- Competence in utilizing Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Virtual Meeting Platforms
- Possess ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Possess ability to push/pull up to 10 lbs.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and an acceptable/courteous manner.
- Possess an understanding and awareness of multicultural needs.
- Possess ability to maintain a positive and collaborative relationship/attitude across all ROE programs.
- Possess ability to enforce ROE regulations and policies in a professional manner.
- Possess ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees and pupils.
- Possess ability to communicate to all stakeholders in an acceptable/courteous manner.
ABOUT THE ROE
The Regional Office of Education is an intermediate agency between the Illinois State Board of Education and local school districts. The Regional Office of Education #33 works with nine districts across the four counties: Henderson, Knox, Mercer, and Warren. We have eight programs and nine different services, with over 200 employees throughout the four counties. These programs and services can be anything from parenting classes and professional development for area educators to bus driver training, fingerprinting, and much more.
