Job Summary
The Program Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the execution of various programs within our organization. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about community engagement and have a strong desire to contribute to meaningful initiatives. The Program Assistant will work closely with program managers to ensure the smooth operation of projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic accounting tasks, including entering vouchers, printing and mailing checks, and depositing funds.
- Answer phone, direct phone calls and messages
- Assist in scheduling appointments
- Provide general support to visitors
- Assist in the fingerprinting/background check operation at the office
- Act as the backup to the Pearson Vue Administrator
- Admit/monitor testing candidates
- Process GED certificate and transcript requests
- Act as backup for employee payroll processing.
- Log cash and credit card transactions when needed
- Act as a backup to Licensure Specialist
- Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as the Regional Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent assign
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma and/or College Degree.
- Working knowledge of computers, basic software programs, computer applications, and copy machines.
- Ability to communicate to staff and the public in an acceptable/courteous manner.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have a positive personality and an ability to maintain good working relationships with fellow employees.
