Essential Functions: Responsible for all the activities of the MM department to include supply metrics. Manages and negotiates the prices and processes, ensuring appropriate approval processes for acquisitions of capital are followed as outlined on the financial approval grid. Negotiate and manage the use of local contracts.
Responsible for managing costs, generating revenue and charge capture. Facilitate activities with GPO to ensure contract tiers and compliance. Manages all off-contract and non-contracted spending.
Manages hospitals vendor management and credentialing system to ensure vendor representatives are in compliance with hospital policies and are credentialed, approved to be on site at the hospital and are wearing the appropriate ID badge and attire.
Oversees strategies and best practices pertaining to the in-stock inventory warehouse, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and supply distribution. Manages all par level inventories to ensure maximum par optimization and charge capture. Provides reports to department managers and directors to assist with par and usage reviews of supplies for expense reduction and budgeting. Ensure all Joint Commission standards are met.
