A Brief Overview
The Valet is responsible for ensuring the safe and appropriate operation of customer vehicles. The incumbent issues and tracks tickets for customer vehicles as well as taking pictures and annotating vehicle condition upon receipt and return of customer's vehicle. Maintains a positive image for Regional One Health, and conducts business in a professional and customer friendly manner. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and hospital.

What you will do
- Ensures the safe and appropriate operation of customer vehicles; issuing and tracking tickets for customer vehicles. Maintains a positive image for Regional One Health, and conducts business in a professional and customer friendly manner
- Completes required departmental reports, including daily station reports which may include incorporation of reports from the parking management system. * Ensures charges and validations are recorded correctly. * Turns in report at end of each shift.
- Meets and greets all customers upon arrival, opening customer vehicle doors * and maintains positive employee and staff relationships. * Directs traffic when necessary. * Proactively prepares with team for high volume arrival and departure hours to ensure timely service and keep flow of vehicles organized. * Assists customers and staff with general inquiries about parking and directions.
- Provides efficient and courteous service. * Tracks tickets and keys * taking pictures and annotating vehicle condition upon receipt and return of customer's vehicle. * Requests cars for customers. * Hands out tickets (self-parking), post tickets (self-parking/valet). * Answers the telephone. * Requests and collects relevant fees for use of service as needed to assist cashier. * Assists in reconciling end of shift revenue against ticket distribution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance provides coverage for relief and absences within department. * Demonstrates flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays to maintain coverage for valet services.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent Required
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence. Upon Hire Required and
- Must be insurable by Regional One Health insurance carrier. Upon Hire Required
- Minimum 1 year experience of related experience Required and
- Prior experience as a vale Preferred and
- Prior experience working in the parking industry or other customer service experience is Preferred
