What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Leasing Agent position at Regional Property Management Firm?
Our established company (40 years and counting!) is seeking a thoughtful, friendly, and reliable, full time leasing agent to market our properties in and around Pittsburgh.
This is a terrific real estate sales and management related position where you help people find long term apartment homes by learning about our properties and matching the properties we own to the needs of prospective residents.
Leasing Agent Job Responsibilities:
- Create advertisements on Facebook, Craigslist and other online resources
- Provides current and prospective residents with the best possible customer service to retain residents and lease properties.
- Discovers, engages, and advances each prospect and follow up until they have set an appointment, found a home within our portfolio, or decided not to move.
- Displays a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times in dealing with residents, prospects, employees, and outside contacts.
- Handles incoming sales by phone, email, and online chat and schedule viewings for yourself and other team members
- Provides information regarding specific communities as well as services offered with the goal of generating leases for the sites.
- Accurately communicates the benefits and features of the properties in the best possible light
- Stays up to date with all promotions/leasing incentives.
- Provides accurate information to residents and prospects in a courteous manner and fills all reasonable requests or requirements.
- Maintains company’s customer service and sales standards.
- Assist and direct maintenance persons who repair items in properties
- Update our computer system
- Provide valuable feedback to management regarding leasing efforts, recommendations for pricing and apartment/property updates
This position is typically five days a week with a working day on Saturday and a Thursday off. You must also have a clean and reliable car to travel from location to location each day.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
- Three to five years of industry sales experience a plus
- Familiarity with office software and phone systems-Must be able to use/navigate excel at a basic level.
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
