Job Summary
Regional Resource Group Inc of Leominster, MA has been in business since 1999 serving more than 30 municipalities throughout Massachusetts. We are accepting applications for the position of Associate Assessor serving Hampden and Berkshire County towns. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, and detail orientated; have a basic knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel; and strong mathematical skills. Travel is required, a reliable vehicle and a clean driving record. Training in the way of coursework and in person will be required and covered by the company.
Responsibilities
- Regular on-site hours to conduct day-to-day assessment functions and public interaction
- Inspect properties, analyze market data, and formulate recommendations relative to abatement applications
- Interact with taxpayers on matters relating to property ownership, valuations, exemptions, etc.
- Maintain and continually improve the quality of data within the office’s CAMA system
- Conduct data quality reviews
- Review land divisions and new property accounts. Input land segmentations, update GIS
- Conduct sales verifications and inspections if applicable, utilizing MLS and sales verification mailings
- Appear at monthly Board of Assessors’ meetings
- Assist with the calculation of new growth revenue numbers
- Assist with the valuation of personal property accounts
- Inspect all building permits within your community; including supplemental tax completion (if it is a extraordinarily high permit year utilize assistance from an inspector)
- Prepare reports pertaining to public records requests
- Prepare annual Assessment brochure and Annual report documents

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
