Located a ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, Old Orchard Beach High School is a 200 student school with students in grades 9-12, seeking a relentless action-oriented, transformative leader committed to preparing all students for a successful future. The successful candidate should possess the following:
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Master's Degree in Education from an accredited college or university;
Possession or eligibility for a building principal certificate (040)
A minimum of five (5) years administrative or equivalent experience;
QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent communication with parents, teachers, administrators, community leaders, and other stakeholders to promote and support student success
Deep understanding of secondary school curriculum and can design and lead work in this area
Demonstrated understanding of secondary education pedagogy
Experience managing school-wide behavioral systems and restorative practices
Experience with teacher supervision, evaluation, and school safety
Knowledge of effective adult learning practices that support a learning organization
Ability to manage multiple tasks and think flexibly
Ability to monitor and evaluate the management and operational systems.
Proven ability to develop strong community partnerships
Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices
Demonstrated ability to deliver rigorous, relevant, and engaging leadership to students and faculty alike
