- Assist in packaging and serving of all meals, after school snacks and special food related functions
- Assist in the set up and tear down of cafeteria furniture, including but not limited to tables, chairs, and other related serving equipment.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other related serving equipment.
- Assist with posting menus and other signage.
- Operates the Point of Sales system to record sales to student and adult accounts.
- Removes trash and cardboard from the cafeteria and kitchen.
- Monitors cafeteria supply inventories (coolers, napkin holders, trays, etc)
- Demonstrates a team approach, through interaction with other employees and departments in support of students.

Working six hours per day for the school year, the food service assistant will be a key player in delivering meals and snacks to classrooms in a timely manner.
