RSC is looking for a qualified and Experienced Public Safety Security Dispatcher to join our team at Power & Light - KC.
Security Dispatchers
Responsibilities:
Communication: You are the point of contact between security guards, clients etc. Provide important information, instructions, and updates to the security personnel and ensure effective communication channels are established and maintained.
Incident Response: Respond promptly to security-related incidents, alarms, and emergencies by coordinating with the appropriate personnel, including security guards, law enforcement, and emergency services.
Monitoring and Tracking: Utilize camera systems and software to monitor the real-time status and location of security personnel on duty. Keep accurate records of assignments, shift changes, incidents, and any other relevant information.
Problem-Management: Identify any issues or challenges that may arise during the shift such as personnel shortages, or client requests. Provide timely notifications to management and other required parties.
Accurate Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, logs, and reports related to dispatching activities, incident responses, and client communications.
Support the Operation: Ensure security personnel are well-informed and prepared for their assignments.
Compliance: Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to security operations, privacy, and data protection. Stay updated on industry best practices and implement them in dispatching procedures.
If you are seeking to work as a security dispatcher, here are major requirements you may be asked to meet to be hired:·
Must be 18 years old or older·
1 year experience in a related field such as law enforcement, fire protection, public safety, military service, etc.·
Knowledgeable about computer systems·
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and carry out simple oral instructions·
Ability to use Microsoft office suite·
Must have ability to work overtime hours if necessary·
Ability to pass drug test·
Must be able to lift/hold up objects weighing up to 50 pounds.·
Obtain a security license·
Understand the phonetic alphabet.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
