What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Training Coordinator position at Regional Transit Service?
JOB SUMMARY :
The Regional Training Coordinator will be responsible for all day-to-day and long-term training needs within the seven regional counties of the Authority. This position will be directly responsible for training new bus operators (either orientation or CDL training as needed) in each county. This position will also be required to provide 19A testing, coordinate and execute bi-annual in-service training within the regional counties.
REPORTS TO : Director of Regional Operations
COMPENSATION : $24.00-$26.00 per hour (depending on experience)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Day-to-Day Functions
- Provides training for Commercial Driver’s License and required endorsements to regional bus operator trainees, in accordance with the FMCSA Entry Level Driver Training program.
- Will be required to travel to each regional office within RGRTA (counties include Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Wyoming).
- Provides training for all regional bus operators on best practices for bus operators, customer service skills, safe driving techniques, and any specialized requirements for specific types of bus service.
- Schedules and attends road tests for new trainees.
- Provides RGRTA-required orientation training to new regional employees.
- Responsible for Article 19A testing, where necessary, within the regional counties.
- Attends weekly Accident Review committee meetings as necessary; provide post-accident retraining to bus operators.
- Coordinates and delivers bi-annual In-Service trainings to all properties within Regional Operations.
