Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.THE JOB: Under limited supervision, the incumbent, reporting to the Director of Finance, will manage the agency’s accounting team, perform fiscal management, and ensure compliance with accounting rules and regulations, and department goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, possess strong communication and presentation skills, and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams. Duties may include: providing leadership and guidance in accounting and financial activities, including operating and capital budgets, financial planning, payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue tracking and projections, cash management, and grant accounting; oversight of financial processes and procedures to comply with state and federal laws and regulations including safeguarding RTC assets; managing, planning, and directing the activities of the agency’s accounting staff; managing the external financial and compliance audit; oversight of the production of the agency’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Plan; monitoring annual budget and tracking adherence to approved budget.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six (6) years of applicable experience including two (2) in a supervisory role, bachelor’s or above degree; OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Registration as a Certified Public Accountant with the State of Nevada preferred.ABOUT THE PROCESS: Applications will be evaluated to determine those candidates whose background and experience most closely meet the agency’s needs. The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the next phase of the examination process, a panel interview, which may include assessment exercise(s).
