This position is eligible for a $4,000 signing bonus. The new hire signing bonus pays out in two $2,000 installments upon these milestones :
If referred by an RTD employee, please include their name or email address on the Workday application when asked, "How did you hear about us" and by selecting "I know someone at the company." In turn, they could be awarded a $2,000 referral bonus.
As a Public Safety Dispatcher, you will be responsible for responding to incoming emergency and non-emergency calls to obtain and disseminate accurate information in an efficient, expedient, and professional manner. Our Dispatch team directly assists the public by providing a variety of information and direction. You will serve as a communication link in emergency situations until the situation is resolved. The ideal candidate will maintain positive and professional written and verbal communication skills at all times and consistently provide excellent customer service to all citizens and emergency responders. A key part of your role will be to dispatch emergency and non-emergency response to police, security, and other non-emergency public safety equipment. You will coordinate police, fire, and EMS response with local jurisdictions.
This role is a key part of the recent growth in the Transit Police Department, and is integral to our ability to successfully serve the public and our fellow RTD employees.
