Job Summary
The Lead Technical Field Engineer will provide on-site installation, repair, and technical maintenance for hardware and software products, ensuring systems operate seamlessly as per client requirements. The role demands collaboration with technical teams and clients to deliver timely and efficient service, including high-level installation activities for storage and network devices. The position requires travel across the assigned region to service customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Field Engineer for large and complex clients across a range of products and services.
- Perform server and storage break/fix tasks.
- Handle VIP deskside support activities with professionalism.
- Use advanced technical knowledge and tools to troubleshoot and resolve significant issues escalated from team members or clients.
- Conduct high-level installation activities for storage and network devices.
- Test and certify mainframes, servers, and infrastructure related to networks and peripherals.
- Schedule service calls, manage documentation, and ensure customer satisfaction through clear communication and effective issue resolution.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate Degree or technical certification is preferred.
- Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in field engineering or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of server and storage systems, network devices, and operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with Dell equipment, mainframes, and VIP deskside support.
- Certifications: A Certification (or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues.
- Familiarity with high-level installations of storage and network devices.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
