What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Management RN position at Regional West Health Services?
Regional West Health Services is an independent, integrated health care delivery system based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska that is seeking talented Registered Nurse Case Managers.

To serve this mission, you will work with the staff and providers, to help coordinate all the different aspects of care that each patient may encounter.
As an RWHS RN Case Manager, you will:
Provide daily clinical review of caseload to provide appropriate assignment of Level of Care based on InterQual criteria.
- Will use critical thinking skills and supporting documentation to support Level of Care assigned to the patient. Will be able to communicate openly with the physicians with issues related to Level of Care.
- Communicate with insurance companies on a timely basis to secure initial and/or ongoing authorizations.
- Initiates, distributes, and provides explanation of beneficiary notices to patients and/or a patient’s personal representative when deemed appropriate while keeping them informed of options, rights, and resources
- Educate and communicate with patients/families, physicians, and facility staff with regard to payer related issues and serve as a resource to the healthcare team
- Share in weekend and holiday rotation.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Compact or State of Nebraska Registered Nurse License; must have NE license within 60 days of hire
- American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire.
- Experience in Acute Health Care and Case Management is preferred
