We are seeking a Chaplain to join our team at Regional West Health Services. As a Chaplain, The Chaplain will work with individuals, couples, families, and small groups offering support and encouragement to people by providing; crisis intervention; grief and bereavement counseling; family support counseling; staff counseling and pre-surgical and post-surgical counseling. Your role will be critical in helping patients cope with illness, injury, and end-of-life issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in divinity, theology, religious studies, or related field, Master Divinity (MDiv)
- Completion of clinical pastoral education (CPE) units at a medical center accredited by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE)
- Ordained by denomination represented
- Valid Nebraska's driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Chaplains.
- Training in grief counseling and pastoral counseling
- Experience in crisis intervention
- Knowledge of patient rights and healthcare ethics
Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible care
- Conduct religious services and ceremonies as needed
- Assist patients and families in making difficult medical decisions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
