What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Emergency Services position at Regional West Health Services?
The Director has 24 hour clinical and management responsibility for the Emergency Department. The director will utilize theoretical, experiential, and general knowledge of Emergency Services patient population. You will be responsible for the performance improvement program, the competency-based orientation program, and the professional development plan for staff and self.
As the RWHS Director of Emergency Services:
- Support an environment conductive to learning and professional growth by functioning as a role model, resource person and mentor to staff, students, peers, and physicians.
- Contributes to and implements a plan for nursing that coordinates education goals and budgeted objectives of the facility, for the nursing division, and individual units.
- Utilize appropriate communication skills effectively when communicating with patients and families, staff, administration, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to acquire disseminate information, identify issues, or prevent/resolve issues.
You may be a great fit if:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Master’s degree in nursing
- Current RN license in state of Nebraska without restrictions
- Management experience
- Current knowledge of nursing and 5 years recent nursing experience
