We are seeking a highly skilled Building Mechanic to join our team in the Facilities Management. As a Building Mechanic, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing preventative and maintenance on the building(s) and equipment essential to the operation of the building utility systems, HVAC systems and other associated components within Regional West Health Services and its associated facilities. Your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide to our patients and the overall success of our organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
Responsibilities:
- Make necessary repairs, both routine and emergency, to building operating equipment
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Collaborate with other members of the facilities team to ensure the smooth operation of all systems
