About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Phlebotomist Lead to join our team in the Regional West Donor Center. As the Phlebotomist Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the phlebotomy team and ensuring that all blood draws are performed accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, as well as ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is desirable
- Certification or eligibility in a healthcare related field is desirable
- Valid Driver's License
- BLS Certification
Responsibilities:
- Identify and provide appropriate notification of errors, accidents, or incidents
- Assess and document competency and proficiency of donor center phlebotomists
- Participate in recruitment and scheduling of donors, planning, organizing, and performing mobile collections
Skills:
As the Phlebotomist Lead, you will utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and manage the phlebotomy team. You will also use your attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure that all samples are properly labeled and stored. Additionally, your experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems will be beneficial in this role. Your ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment will be essential to the success of our team.
