Opportunity Summary
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides executive oversight for all financial operations of the health system. This includes direct leadership of Finance, Revenue Cycle Management, Materials Management, and Health Information Management (HIM). The CFO is a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors and a strategic partner in advancing clinical access, operational sustainability, and mission stewardship. We are seeking a leader who brings depth in healthcare finance, integrity in decision-making, and a collaborative approach to transformational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for Finance, Revenue Cycle, Materials Management, and HIM departments.
- Develop and oversee the system-wide operating and capital budget, financial planning process, and long-range forecasting.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting to the Board of Directors, CEO, and senior leaders.
- Lead revenue cycle performance improvement to optimize patient access, charge capture, claims, collections, and denials management.
- Oversee procurement, contracting, and inventory controls to ensure efficient materials management and cost control.
- Guide financial policy development, internal controls, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Support clinical and operational leaders with decision support tools, business case modeling, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Champion transparency, accountability, and mission-aligned stewardship of system resources.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- CPA, FHFMA, or similar credential strongly preferred.
- 10 years of senior financial leadership in a complex healthcare organization.
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle, supply chain, and HIM leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to lead through influence and alignment.
- Experience engaging directly with Boards, lenders, and external stakeholders preferred.
