What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transfer Center Specialist position at Regional West Medical Center?
Regional West Health Services is an independent, integrated health care delivery system based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. We are actively looking for an individual to assist the team as a Transfer Center Specialist.

To serve this mission, you will be responsible for facilitating a "one call" transfer line that will coordinate arrangements to support the transfer of patients to and from Regional West.
As a RWHS Transfer Center Specialist, you will:
- Answer and extend calls from dispatch or transfer center in a timely courteous manner.
- Safely coordinate the patient transfer by collecting, disseminating and documenting air medical and interfacility transfer requests.
- Provide dedicated, continuous flight following communications through Air Link patient transport, in accordance with accreditation requirements.
You may be a good fit if you have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of healthcare experience preferred
- Prior experience with telephone and radio communication
- Preferred to have IAMTCS
After joining our team you will be required to:
- Successful complete an EMT-Basic or EMT Paramedic, LPN program or higher level of training is required within one year of hire. Or have a strong background in medical terminology defined by a minimum of 3 years' experience dispatching police, fire and EMS.
A conditional job offer is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug test and background checks. A Physical Capacity Profile may be required for some positions.
