Operating Room Scheduling Specialist

This position works collaboratively with Surgical staff to coordinate care of surgical patients and communicate with patients/families. This position will schedule for the Regions Hospital Surgery Center and HealthPartners Same Day Surgery department as requested. The OR Scheduling Specialist will create, troubleshoot, and coordinate surgery schedules for operating efficiency.

This role requires a high level of competence in utilizing complex specialized Operating Room and other computer systems, excellent telephone etiquette, and strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus. Specific areas of responsibility will be assigned most of the time; but may be assigned to cover all areas as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Three (3) years of computer/data entry experience. Medical or surgical background preferred.
