Regions Hospital has a full-time opportunity for a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team in Digestive Care!
This role provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors in the Digestive Care Center. Some of the responsibilities in this role are as follows :
- Performs clerical / receptionist appointment scheduling for all gastroenterology patients.
- Facilitates communication between staff, patients, families and care providers, between the unit and other hospital departments.
- Prepares and maintains patient records, performs data entry into the computerized patient information system; serves as a resource to medical staff regarding hospital protocols.
- Consistently and accurately schedules endoscopic procedure and ambulatory clinic appointments for the Digestive Care Center
- Refers requests for orders to the nurse through the use of messaging in Epic
- Assembles patient admission and discharge paperwork
- After discharge sends patient documents to Health Information Management
- Consistently and accurately enters patient information into Epic
Work Schedule : 0.70 FTE (28 hours / week). Monday-Friday. Day hours
