Job Description:
At Regions, the Desktop Services Consultant utilizes extensive technical knowledge to partner with company objectives and translate functional requirements into design and system architecture solutions. This position fulfills the role of desktop architecture design and development and includes all related new and existing technology as subject matter expert.
Primary Responsibilities
Manages a fleet of printers, workstations, and servers
Oversees the development, quality assurance, and pilot and production implementations of applications, Operating Systems, and patches for both the corporate and branch environments
Designs technical solutions that translate functional requirements into design and system architecture solutions
Evaluates emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with company’s business needs and strategic objectives
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four (4) years of Information Technology experience
OR High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) years of Information Technology experience
Extensive architecture experience and/or familiarity with Microsoft Operating systems, Visual Basic and PowerShell languages, Batch, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Active Directory, MS, Structure Query Language (SQL), and Imaging and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions
Preferences
A Certification and/or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Skills and Competencies
Ability to collaborate on cross-team and cross product technical issues
Ability to enhance the technical expertise of peers through team content development
Ability to learn additional systems as needed
Advanced analytical/problem-solving abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills
Motivated self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision
This position is currently offsite in Birmingham, AL and associates will work from their home primarily. They may be expected to go on site for meetings or other events as needed.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Minimum: $63,168.60 USD
Median: $83,390.00 USD
