Job Description:
At Regions, the Operational Risk Programs Analyst is responsible for the design of various programs that are aligned with industry and regulatory standards. This role partners cross-functionally with other areas across the bank to ensure efficient implementation, execution and continuous monitoring of the programs. This role is also responsible for maintaining reports that aid in the detection of possible key risks and determining solutions to prevent any future risks.
Primary Responsibilities
Designs program(s) to meet industry and regulatory standards, including the methodology and approach, process, tools and documentation
Designs programs and solutions to control key risks and issues within the company
Assists risk and control owners across the enterprise in program implementation, execution and continuous monitoring
Partners with cross-functional teams in pursuing continuous improvement opportunities
Creates program reporting
Designs learning content and materials in accordance with the operational risk framework, methodology, standards and controls
Ensures that learning content is aligned with regulatory expectations and industry best practices
Follows change management protocols for program and/or content changes
Partners with other risk technology teams to create existing tools aligned with business requirements that will support strategic program objectives
Assists in designing technology enabled programs for the automation and simplification of complex manual processes
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience
This position will work a hybrid schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management or related field
Preferences
General knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding BASEL, risk appetite and stress testing
General knowledge of enterprise and operational risk management framework and principles
Skills and Competencies
Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
Ability to work under direct guidance
Ability to articulate basic concepts in a clear manner
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Good work ethic and self-motivation
Research and document Operational Losses on a recurring basis and conduct associated financial impact analysis leveraging internal systems to aggregate Loss Events
Publish internal reporting on operational loss and Scenario Analysis activity to the governing committees and organizational leadership
Perform data collection and quantitative analysis for the Capital Planning Operational Loss Estimation processes
Create, maintain, and enhance enterprise-wide dashboards and reports for data analysis and visualization to support the Operational Loss and Scenario Analysis Programs
Work closely with 1st and 2nd Line Risk Partners to investigate operational loss origination methods, identify root-cause characteristics, and assess "what-if" scenarios to determine potential risk to the Bank
Additional preferences
Knowledge of PowerBI, R Code, GRC Reach (Archer), or Confluence and JIRA would be a plus.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
