What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Studies - Long-Term Substitute position at Regis Jesuit High School?
Regis Jesuit High School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Social Studies teacher for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. Salary is determined using the Faculty Salary Scale, based on education level and years of experience (scale ranges from BA, Tier 1: $48,519 to MA45, Tier 30: $101,855). We give 1:1 credit for the first 10 years of teaching experience and then 1:2 for additional years. The position will be eligible for benefits after the waiting period.
Expectations Include:
- Emphasis in Government and World History
- Experience with Canvas is helpful
- A bachelor’s degree in the subject area (MA preferred)
- A Colorado teaching license, comparable certification, or working toward alternative licensure
- Teaching 5 out of 7 class periods per two day cycle (Block Scheduling)
- Commitment to the life of the school outside the classroom through coaching, advising, and moderating extra-curricular programs
- Attending assemblies, prayer services, masses, service opportunities
- Modeling Christian values and contributing to forming student values
